P4 ICT and Numeracy

P4 used the iPads to revise their knowledge of triangles and squares. Using the 'Geoboard App' they had to create several different triangles and squares. Once they completed this they had time to design their own images using several shapes.

Some children also got to make shapes followed by other designs on our new 'Mag-Tabs' which only arrived in the school last week (These will be used throughout the school).

The children all loved this activity and it was a great way to infuse ICT and numeracy together.

P4G Rugby World Cup Assembly

This morning Mr Gault's P4s performed their assembly on the Rugby World Cup.

They talked about how rugby was formed and how the Rugby World Cup was organised. They also talked about the different teams, their supporters and their crests. This led us onto talk about our own School Crest and our identity with Waringstown Primary School. We also looked at our identity in Christ.

Primary 4 McA Assembly- 'Change Starts With Us'

Primary 4 Miss McAnearney’s class presented a fantastic Anti- Bullying Assembly to the whole school. The theme of the assembly was ‘Change Starts With Us.’ They delivered a very important message that we all have the power to stand up and speak out when it is the right thing to do. They also incorporated the Bible story of ‘David and Goliath’ to demonstrate that just like David, when we are faced with a problem or a worry we can always turn to those we trust and God to help us.

At the end of the play one of the girls performed a beautiful solo at the beginning of ‘Make Me a Channel of Your Peace’ and she was accompanied by the rest of the beautiful voices in P4 McA. Miss McAnearney was extremely proud of each and every one of her pupils and the role that they played in the Assembly. Thank you to all the parents who sent in costumes and props. They all looked amazing.

Primary 4 learning about 'multiplication'

In Primary 4 the boys and girls have been getting to grips with multiplication. Today, they used their whiteboards to draw equal sets. They all got on really well.
