Our School History

Our School History

The 'old' school building opened in 1933 to replace the Church School on the Mill Hill. This fine, red brick building was also on our current site and served the children of the village until the sustained growth in the area caused by the large housing developments.

Demolition of the old building

In 1987 the skeleton of our existing building was built on the 'old' school site providing new accommodation with some eleven purpose built classrooms. The village Library was also within the school build until demand caused its removal in order for the school to reutilise the space for the creation of a further two classrooms. At this point the Library moved to the Orange Hall building in Main Street.
