Hockey Ends For Term 1 - 2017

As Girls Hockey comes to an end for Term One the teachers would just like to say a huge thanks to the girls for coming each week with great enthusiasm and motivation (no matter what the weather J).  It is a pleasure to watch the girls develop their hockey skills and grow in confidence on the hockey pitch.  We look forward to seeing all the girls back at hockey in the new year.  Here are a few photos of the girls during our last hockey practice.

Well represented at the hockey

Two ‘B teams’ headed to Brownlow on Monday to play their tournament. It was a very busy schedule with both teams getting very little rest between matches.

The girls played their hearts out and were unbeaten in all of their matches. All the girls played with great team spirit and were great ambassadors to Waringstown Primary School.

Well done girls!

Super League Hockey Tournament

The 'A' Team headed to Dromore on Friday to play their Super League Tournament. It was a very tough tournament with the top two teams in Min Ulster playing. The girls had to play 6 matches of tens minutes each which meant they had to be on top form. Every girl gave 100% and played their socks off. They only lost one match to Abercorn and drew the other five games. An amazing result when you consider that three of the teams we played were Northern Ireland semi finalists and finalists. The tournament could have been won by any of the teams. The girls were rewarded with beautiful medals. A wonderful end to a fantastic season.

Last Hockey Practice

A few photos of the girls enjoying their last hockey practice.  The P5, 6 and 7 girls have all shown great commitment to hockey this year, braving all types of weather and always with a smile.  Thank you to each of you for making hockey so enjoyable for the teachers and keep up the great skills! J
